Transportation Systems Engineer (f/m/d)

ResponsibilitiesReview transit system design packages, drawings, technical submittals, and equipment documentation to ensure compliance with the D&B Contract and Employer Requirements.Support transit system integration across signalling/ATC, telecoms, rolling stock, power supply, PSDs, depot systems, and station systems, ensuring seamless functional interoperability.Participate in inspections and quality oversight activities, including NCR review, installation verification, and assessment of corrective actions.Assist in testing & commissioning (FAT, SAT, subsystem tests, integration tests, and trial running), verifying transit system performance and safe operation.Monitor transit system performance against RAMS requirements and operational benchmarks to support reliability and availability targets.Review documentation including method statements, O&M manuals, interface control documents, hazard logs, and testing records for technical accuracy and contract compliance.Support issue resolution by coordinating with PMCM teams, D&B Contractor disciplines, O&M Entity, and stakeholders to address integration and performance challenges.Prepare engineering reports, technical assessments, system integration updates, and progress documentation for submission to the Employer as part of PMCM reporting.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Railway Engineering, or related discipline, with 12+ years of relevant transit systems engineering experienceExperience working with metro or rail transit systems, including signalling, telecoms, rolling stock interfaces, traction power, SCADA, and station systems.Strong understanding of system integration principles, operational requirements, safety standards, and interdependencies across multi‑system environments.Ability to review engineering documents, test plans, NCRs, interface documentation, O&M manuals, and commissioning deliverables.Familiarity with RAMS principles, testing & commissioning procedures, and operational performance requirements for automated metro systems.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to evaluate technical issues, assess risks, and propose engineering solutions.Excellent communication and team coordination abilities for collaboration with PMCM teams, contractors, O&M entities, and Employer representatives.High degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and adaptability suitable for a large, multi‑contract transit megaproject environment.We offer you attractive working conditions and a competitive compensation package based on country conditions.With more than 5,000 employees from over 80 countries across all engineering disciplines worldwide, we are shaping railways for the world of tomorrow.
