Training Specialist – Waste Management

The Training Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs to enhance employee performance, safety awareness, and operational efficiency within the waste management and environmental services operations.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify training needs across operational, technical, and support functions through assessments and stakeholder engagementDesign and implement training programs related to:Waste management processes and best practicesEnvironmental compliance and regulationsHealth, Safety & Environment (HSE) standardsEquipment handling and operational proceduresConduct onboarding and induction programs for new employeesDeliver classroom, on-site, and virtual training sessionsDevelop training materials, manuals, SOPs, and e-learning contentEnsure all training aligns with local environmental regulations and company policiesTrack and maintain training records, certifications, and compliance requirementsEvaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metricsCoordinate with internal departments and external training providers when requiredSupport continuous improvement initiatives and promote a culture of safety and sustainabilityQualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, HR, or a related field3–6 years of experience in training and development, preferably within:Environmental servicesFacilities managementIndustrial or operational environmentsStrong knowledge of HSE standards and environmental regulationsExperience in delivering technical and safety training programsCertifications such as Train the Trainer, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are a plusExcellent presentation and communication skillsAbility to work in field environments and interact with operational teamsKnowledge of environmental and safety standardsCommunication & interpersonal skillsOrganizational and reporting skillsPreferred ExperienceExperience working with blue-collar workforce trainingFamiliarity with waste collection, recycling, hazardous waste handling, or environmental complianceExperience in the UAE or GCC market is an advantage#J-18808-Ljbffr
