Track Inspector

<div><h3>Position Overview</h3><p>The Track Inspector is responsible for inspecting the track, switches and related infrastructure, including the access road and the loading/unloading terminals to ensure that the structures are safe for railway traffic.</p><h3>Roles and Responsibility</h3><ul><li>Inspects the track efficiently including switches and related infrastructure</li><li>Records and interprets the results of the inspections and creates notifications of any track defects and unsafe conditions</li><li>Logs the identified defects into the SAP asset management system and generates work orders</li><li>Determines if the line is subject to speed restriction</li><li>Ensures a safe working environment for all employees and Contractors operating in Etihad Rail</li><li>Ensures that the assets are kept safely in accordance with the Asset Management Strategy of the Operations JV</li><li>Communicates with the supervisor efficiently about necessary track repairs</li><li>Represents the Structure Engineer at meetings as directed</li></ul><h3>Academic Qualifications</h3><ul><li>High School Certificate or equivalent</li></ul><h3>Professional Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Proven knowledge of track inspection/ultrasonic testing</li><li>Knowledge of applicable discipline-based railway standards</li><li>Full driving license</li></ul><h3>Experience</h3><ul><li>Proven experience in track maintenance</li><li>Experience in writing inspection reports</li><li>Experience in heavy haul railway maintenance desired</li></ul><h3>Other Skills</h3><ul><li>English as first language or advanced level of written and verbal skill</li><li>Good planning skills</li><li>Analytical skills for problem solving</li><li>Basic skills in MS Office Programs</li><li>Ability to deliver allocated elements of the Quality Management systemAbility to work in a multicultural team</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
