Job Description

Job Description In this role, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the component library using Altium Designer. Your key responsibilities include: - Create, validate, and maintain schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D models for electronic components with 100% accuracy and compliance with IPC standards. - Carefully review component datasheets, mechanical drawings, and vendor documentation to extract precise dimensional, electrical, and functional data. - Perform regular sanitization of existing libraries to eliminate duplicates, correct naming conventions, and standardize attributes. - Conduct quality control checks to ensure each library element meets company standards and is ready for direct use. - Maintain version history, revision notes, and change documentation for each component. You will also be responsible for: - Schedule and perform periodic audits of the centralized component library to remove obsolete or redundant parts and maintain alignment with current BOM and AVL. - Collaborate with hardware design, mechanical, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to validate component selections and ensure compatibility. - Maintain detailed records of component creation, review logs, datasheet references, and change control approvals. - Identify and implement library process improvements, automation scripts, or template optimizations. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Altium Designer Library Tools. - Strong knowledge of IPC standards, component geometry, and datasheet interpretation. - Good understanding of library structure, version control, and data management practices. - Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation discipline.
