We are dedicated to advancing propulsion systems through rigorous testing, precision engineering, and robust manufacturing processes.Job OverviewThermal System Design Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the gas turbine component thermal analysis, secondary air system and oil system design & analysis activities within the turbojet & turbofan development programs. This role requires expert knowledge in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, gas turbine propulsion, planning for projects and ability to develop individuals.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out component thermal analysis simulations for thermal mapping of the engineCarry out steady and transient thermal & secondary flows assessment in gas turbine engine componentsCarry out sizing and design studies for the oil / lubrication system, seals, sump, bearings & pumps.Develop numerical and experimental methods for method verification and validationSupport other team members, develop junior engineers and provide constructive feedbackReview the designs, simulations and generate testing guidelinesIdentify project risks and plan for mitigationQualifications & ExperienceAerospace, Mechanical Engineering degree or a related field.Strong background in gas turbine propulsion, heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.Experience: 5-15 years or more.SkillsTechnical skills in one or a combination of stated topics.Using commercial tools such as Ansys Workbench or similar.Experience in FEA, CFD or lower order simulation methods.Experience in 1D flow network software such as Flomaster and AmesimExperience in programming using C, Matlab/Simulink or similar.Awareness on the state-of-the-art technologies in materials, aerodynamics and structural mechanics to link with thermal system design for gas turbine propulsionGood communication and presentation skills to interact with team members, clients, and vendors.Ability to solve problems, prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary#J-18808-Ljbffr
