Their experienced crew, advanced fleet, and strong operational systems ensure seamless movement of cargo every time.Key ResponsibilitiesLiaise and coordinate closely with third party technical and commercial management teams to ensure smooth day to day vessel operationsSupervise and monitor the performance of outsourced teams to ensure all maintenance, repair and operational activities are carried out efficiently and to a high standardOversee the performance and safety of the vessels' engines, electrical systems, fuel systems and auxiliary machineryCollaborate with technical managers to ensure the timely and effective resolution of any technical issuesEnsure that all systems operate within established performance standards and identify opportunities for improvementEnsure that the vessels meet all relevant regulatory and classification society requirements including safety, environmental and operational standardsEnsure compliance with international maritime laws, conventions and environmental regulations (e.g. SOLAS, MARPOL)Coordinate and conduct periodic inspections, audits and surveys on board to ensure the vessels comply with regulatory standards and company policiesEnsure that any deficiencies identified during inspections are addressed promptly and effectivelyEfficiently undertake and manage any projects assigned by senior management ensuring timely and high quality completionCoordinate with external service providers and contractors for the execution of projects and repairsReport all operational issues, risks or technical concerns promptly to senior management and the General ManagerProvide detailed reports on vessel performance, maintenance activities and compliance statusEnsure that the vessels are operated in compliance with safety protocols and environmental standardsCoordinate with third party management to ensure all safety drills, training sessions and equipment inspections are carried out regularlyAssist in managing and controlling operational budgets for technical and maintenance activitiesWork with third party managers to monitor and optimize maintenance costs and resource allocationEnsure that all operational expenses (OPEX) remain within budget and report any irregular costs immediately to senior managementExplore opportunities to expand the business and share them with management for further consideration and actionRequirementsBachelor's degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering4–6 years of experience as a Superintendent in the UAEMust possess good communication and interpersonal skillsBenefitsCompetitive SalaryEmployee Benefits as per the UAE Labour Law#J-18808-Ljbffr
