Join us and help run what runs the world.</p><p>This position reports to:<br/>Product Marketing Director, ELDS</p><h3>Your Role And Responsibilities</h3><p>In this role, you will support the assigned Sales organization and customers during the proposal process. You will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area and showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.</p><p>You will be mainly accountable for:</p><ul><li>Collaborate with internal Sales and Marketing teams to ensure customer satisfaction, assist with resolution of customer product/system/service issues, and may accompany internal partners to customer sites.</li><li>Configure and program protection relays (IEDs); experience with ABB relays will be an advantage.</li><li>Update protection relay settings, logic, and firmware; manage project files and documentation.</li><li>Configure communication protocols (e.g., IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3) to ensure seamless integration with SCADA systems.</li><li>Perform secondary injection testing on protection relays to verify functionality, sensitivity, and stability.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase.</li><li>Prepare detailed testing and commissioning reports, including “as‑built” settings.</li><li>Adhere to strict safety standards (e.g., Arc Flash hazards) and ensure safe working conditions during site testing.</li><li>Offer technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers, channels, and Sales Specialists about ABB products, systems, and applications.</li><li>Perform analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries.</li><li>Develop and maintain new sales opportunities and resolve specific customer problems.</li></ul><h3>Our Team Dynamics</h3><p>Our teams support each other, collaborate, and never stop learning. Being part of our team means your work matters—because the progress we make here creates real impact out there.</p><h3>Qualifications For The Role</h3><ul><li>You are highly skilled in protection and control systems, relay engineering, and power system applications.</li><li>You have 5+ years of experience in protection relays engineering, commissioning, and technical support, preferably as a Protection Engineer or Commissioning Engineer with ABB protection relays (615/620/630/640 series is an advantage).</li><li>You possess advanced skills in configuring and programming protection relays (IEDs), updating firmware, modifying protection logic, and managing project documentation.</li><li>You are highly adept in protection relay software and tools such as ABB PCM600, IEC 61850 configuration tools, and communication protocols including IEC 61850, Modbus, and DNP3, with strong knowledge of SCADA integration.</li><li>You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.</li><li>You are comfortable communicating in English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage.</li><li>You hold a valid driving license and are willing to travel to customer sites within Saudi Arabia.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><p>We invest in our people with benefits that go beyond the basics because your future matters.</p><h3>More about us</h3><p>Join us.
