Eaton has approximately 96,000 employees and sells products to customers in more than 175 countries.The Technical Project Engineer is responsible to coordinate all post-order engineering activities including design, develop, and control the electrical systems for customer projects.Eaton's projects can involve every aspect of power distribution from low to medium voltage, UPS (uninterrupted power supply), and automation such as EPMS (Energy Power Monitoring System) and SCADA.This technical coordination role ensures technical clarification of interfacies between customer stakeholders (tech consultants, construction, eng teams..) and internal stakeholders (production eng teams, suppliers eng dpt, SW dvp etc..)This role is also supporting application engineering teams during pre-order technical engaments on need bases.Such projects mainly address Datacenter, T&D utilities and Oil and gas applications, but could include other types of large and complex projects requiring system integration.Working as an integral part of the customer Project execution team, the PE is primarily an office role, whilst travelling as needed to other locations including suppliers, Eaton manufacturing facilities and client offices and construction sites during pre-order / post order phases.The role requires an experienced, composed, highly motivated, Electrical Engineer who can effectively communicate and work with a wide variety of stakeholders in a dynamic environment and who demonstrate an understanding of all project's electrical requirements.The PE needs to work to specifications and liaise with Engineering consultant, General contractors, subcontractors and clients. Technical deviations and scope incrementals needs to be flagged to respective project managerts to be coordinated with customer before implementation.What you'll doResponsible for Technical Scope Management of projects including but not limited to CDE review and coordination with all relevant stakeholders (internal, external...) from sales hand-over to close-outEnsure technical alignment between projects and coordination with customerSupport PM to manage technical risk by ensuring rapid sharing of lessons learned as well as coordination of approach for maximum effectAnalyzing technical drawings, interpreting specifications, and determining the electrical requirements of a given projectCoordinating and liaising with Eaton engineers (Application engineers, Product engineers, Power system engineer, Cx team, Quality engineers...) and client stakeholders to ensure overall project executionProvide and manage technical documentation and techsubs (SLD, Layout, Site Methods, Cx process and sequence) for any required projectsManaging and monitoring all assigned electrical projects to ensure documentation is delivered on timeEnsuring health and safety codes are obeyed at all timesCompleting quality assurance on electrical components and projects, and writing up reportsSupport Root cause analysis in case of Quality eventsSite assignment for a short period of time can be necessary depending on the progress of the execution of the projectQualificationsBachelors' Degree or Masters' Degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering5+ years' of experience in Electrical design from a system perspective (MV / LV)5+ years' of experience in Customer Project Management5+ years' of experience in Datacenter construction project is a plusUPS / MV CX experience is a plusSkillsElectrical & System Engineering with power distribution knowledgeBasic electrical calculation knowledgeCAD experienceTechnical ability to write specifications and proceduresProject Management / Technical coordinationConstruction site constraintUPS & MV knowledge with CX activities is a plusAutomation is a plusKnowledge of datacenter environment is a plusStrong collaborative team player with interpersonal skillsComfortable providing technical presentations to peers, customers and leadership regarding the details of technical issuesStrong analytical skills with the ability to do Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to understand and resolve problemsWhat we offer youBeing part of a company that has been in business for more than 100 years, is well known in the industry, and has a major impact on the energy industryWork in a company that is commitment to Inclusion & Diversity and SustainabilityAnnual mentoring program, Eaton Univ
