Technical Manager (Pre-Contract)

We are working with a leading developer in Dubai who are looking to appoint a Technical Manager to join their team, supporting the Design Manager (Architecture) through the pre-contract stages of major developments.This is a highly technical, office-based role suited to candidates from a consultancy background with strong experience in detailed design, specifications, and cost coordination.Role OverviewThe Technical Manager will play a key role in the pre-contract phase, ensuring all architectural and technical documentation is fully coordinated, compliant, and aligned with project budgets and design intent. You will act as the bridge between design, cost, and delivery teams.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Design Manager (Architecture) throughout pre-contract stages.Review and develop detailed design packages and technical documentation.Prepare and manage project specifications and material selections.Provide technical input into cost planning, pricing, and value engineering.Coordinate closely with QS/commercial teams to ensure design aligns with budget.Review drawings for buildability, compliance, and coordination across disciplines.Liaise with consultants to ensure high-quality technical outputs.Oversee the preparation and issuance of tender documentation.Ensure adherence to local authority regulations and industry standards.Provide expertise across civil, architectural detailing, and joinery packages.Key RequirementsProven experience in a technical/design management role within a consultancy/developer environment.Strong exposure to pre-contract stages of large-scale developments.In-depth knowledge of specifications, materials, and detailed design.Experience supporting cost estimation and pricing processes.Solid understanding of civil works, architectural detailing, and joinery.Ability to review and coordinate multi-disciplinary technical packages.Strong communication skills with the ability to work across design and commercial teams.Preferred ProfileBackground with international or Tier 1 consultancies.Experience working on large-scale residential, mixed-use or masterplan developments.Strong attention to detail with a hands-on technical approach.Currently based in the UAE or open to relocation.Why ApplyOpportunity to work with a market-leading developer on high-profile projects.Exposure to large-scale, design-led developments.Collaborative, design-focused environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
