Technical & Engineering Director – Main Contractor (Luxury Hotel Project)Role SummaryThe Technical & Engineering Director is responsible for leading all technical and engineering functions for a luxury hotel construction project executed by a main contractor. The role oversees engineering design management, value engineering, construction methodologies, method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical approvals, while setting engineering standards and best practices to support successful project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and implement the technical and engineering strategy aligned with project and business objectives.Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing engineering team, promoting quality, innovation, and efficiency.Oversee all engineering activities to ensure timely delivery, cost optimization, and compliance with codes and standards.Review and approve method statements, technical proposals, shop drawings, and material submittals.Drive value engineering initiatives and innovative construction solutions suitable for luxury developments.Coordinate closely with construction, commercial, procurement, HSE, and operations teams.Identify and mitigate technical and design-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.Manage the engineering budget and ensure optimal use of resources.Support and enforce HSE policies, safety awareness, and incident reporting in line with IMS requirements.Job Knowledge & SkillsStrong hands-on experience in preparing detailed construction methodologies and method statements.Advanced knowledge of engineering principles, materials engineering, drawings, and specifications.Strong capability in reviewing and managing technical drawings and design documentation.Solid understanding of project management practices.ERP knowledge (SAP preferred).ExperienceMinimum 20 years of experience, including 10+ years in a relevant supervisory role.GCC experience is an advantage.Prior experience with main contractors delivering luxury hotel or high-end hospitality projects is highly preferred.Education & CertificationsBachelor’s degree in architectural engineering.MMUP / UPDA professional registration required or preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
