Job Title: Teacher - Primary (Immediate Start) at Al Shohub Private School, Aldar EducationOverviewAldar Education are currently seeking a Teacher - Primary (Immediate Start) to support our growing family of owned and operated schools in the UAE. Al Shohub Private School is a British curriculum, mixed gender primary school located in a purpose-built educational facility at Khalifa City A, Abu Dhabi. The school was founded in 1999 to provide exceptional education in Abu Dhabi and is aligned with UAE regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will align with our core values and ethos and appreciate the values of the region.ResponsibilitiesTo deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve the best possible outcomes.Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.Be a good communicator at all levels and develop positive relationships with all members of the school community.Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly; work with parents to ensure happiness and strong academic outcomes for all children.Collaborate with curriculum support staff (where applicable) to support children’s development.Specific DutiesTeaching and learning: clear understanding of the curriculum; organise classroom provision and resources; create engaging displays; plan, prepare and present sessions for the whole ability range.Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching; observe and assess children in line with school assessments.Reflect on classroom provision and adjust planning and curriculum accordingly; meet with professionals as required; embed language and attitudes aligned to the school DNA throughout the curriculum.Assessment and dataTake responsibility for the progress of a class; meet requirements for assessment and recording using Target Tracker.Use data from assessments to influence planning, provision and intervention; provide feedback to parents and carers at meetings.Behaviour management and dutiesFollow the school’s behaviour policy; manage classes effectively to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.Maintain positive relationships with pupils and exercise appropriate authority within the policy; be a positive role model and promote high behavioural expectations.Carry out duties as directed within the school’s policy.Wider professional responsibilitiesContribute to curriculum action groups; support planning, assessment, resources and events.Participate in school events, outings and activities, which may occur at weekends or in the evening.Communicate effectively with parents/carers using school systems such as CPOMS as appropriate.Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school; run a weekly ECA termly.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teaching qualification.Experience & SkillsMinimum 1–2 years of teaching experience.Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child; professionalism and well-being of children.Recent involvement in extra-curricular activities; respectful of all members of the school community.Positive, solution-focused attitude; clean enhanced DBS/police check.What we offerAldar Education offers a competitive remuneration package including medical cover, flights, housing, and free child school places.
