Job Description As a Tax Manager at Grant Thornton INDUS, you will play a crucial role in reviewing complex federal and state tax returns for US Individuals and Trusts, specifically Forms 1040 and 1041. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting Manager review of tax returns prepared by associates and first-level reviewed by senior associates/Assistant Manager - Staying updated with tax law changes and implementing them in tax returns - Managing high net worth individual clients and large engagements - Ensuring Quality Assurance for projects handled by the team - Identifying technical issues on engagements and providing recommendations to the team - Acting as a subject matter expert and facilitating knowledge sharing within the team - Managing engagements effectively and coaching the team on technical concepts - Participating actively in technical forums and training team members on high technical concepts - Identifying gaps, coaching, mentoring, and developing the technical skills of team members - Building professional relationships with engagement teams - Leading the team independently and assisting in their career development - Serving as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) with the US offices closely collaborated with Your role will require you to possess the following skills: - Ability to perform Manager review of complex federal and state tax returns for US Individuals and Trusts - Up-to-date knowledge of tax law changes and their application in tax returns - Strong management skills to handle high net worth clients and large engagements - Proficiency in identifying and resolving technical issues on engagements - Subject matter expertise and knowledge sharing capabilities - Effective team management and coaching skills - Active participation in technical forums and training sessions for team members About Grant Thornton INDUS: Grant Thornton INDUS consists of GT U.S. Shared Services Center India Pvt Ltd and Grant Thornton U.S. Knowledge and Capability Center India Pvt Ltd.
