Job Title: Tape Plant FitterIndustry: Polymer / PP Woven Bags & FIBC ManufacturingLocation: QatarEmployment Type: Full-TimeJob SummaryThe Tape Plant Fitter is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment in the tape production line used for manufacturing polypropylene (PP) tapes for woven bags and FIBC products. The role ensures smooth and uninterrupted operations of the tape extrusion and processing lines.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, assemble and align machinery and equipment in the tape production line.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on extrusion machines, rollers, winders, heating systems and auxiliary equipment.Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to minimize production downtime.Conduct routine inspections of machines and identify potential issues before they affect production.Work closely with the production team to support machine setup, start-up and adjustments.Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of all repair activities.Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for spare parts and technical support as needed.Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote safe working practices in the plant.Assist in training junior fitters or helpers when required.Required Skills & QualificationsProven experience as a Fitter / Mechanical Technician in polymer extrusion tape or woven bag manufacturing industries.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, gears, rollers, belts and moving parts in tape extrusion machinery.Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is an advantage.Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and maintenance manuals.Proficient in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance practices.Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.Preferred QualificationsExperience in PP tape plant operations and FIBC manufacturing machinery.Knowledge of electrical and electronic control panels used in extrusion lines.Familiarity with safety and quality standards in industrial manufacturing.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and handle heavy equipment and parts.Ability to work in standing, bending or confined positions for extended periods.BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience.Health insurance and other benefits in accordance with Qatar labor law.Accommodation and transportation (if applicable).Vacancy: 1#J-18808-Ljbffr
