Job Description
Job Description As an IT Asset Management System Administrator at Icertis, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and lifecycle of IT assets, focusing on Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM). Your role will involve ensuring accurate inventory, efficient allocation and provisioning, asset refresh, disposal, and compliance with company standards and policies. You will also be expected to manage basic system administration tasks and collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize IT assets.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of IT assets including procurement, provisioning, monitoring, upgrades, and disposal.
- Regularly update the asset database to reflect changes in allocations, transfers, upgrades, and disposals.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, conduct audits, and reconcile inventory records.
- Coordinate procurement and laptop refresh cycles, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and compliance with policies.
- Dispose of obsolete IT assets securely and in compliance with data security and environmental regulations.
- Ensure proper licensing, tracking, and compliance of software assets.
- Support internal and external audits by providing detailed software license data and documentation.
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning, hardware setup, software installation, and user support.
- Communicate effectively with users and management to ensure timely request & issue resolution.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent work experience considered.
- 3 years of proven experience in System Administration or IT asset management.
- Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in asset management software and tools.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to IT asset management.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools, ticketing systems, remote desktop applications, and help desk software.
- Ability to provide technical help, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and relevant certifications such as ITIL are advantageous.
