Based in Doha, Qatar, Gulfcraft provides opportunities for professional development in a collaborative setting.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Switchgear Panel Technician to assemble, install, test, and maintain low and medium voltage electrical panels. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in panel wiring, troubleshooting, and commissioning, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble and install LV/MV switchgear panels in accordance with electrical drawings and specifications.Perform wiring, cable termination, and connection of electrical components including circuit breakers, contactors, and protection devices.Read and interpret electrical schematics, single‑line diagrams, and layout drawings.Fabricate and install busbars, ensuring proper insulation and alignment.Conduct testing and commissioning of panels, including continuity, insulation resistance (IR), and functional tests.Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in switchgear panels and electrical systems.Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical panels and associated equipment.Perform cable routing, glanding, and termination as per project requirements.Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical standards (e.g., IEC) and safety regulations.Use electrical tools and testing instruments such as multimeters and meggers effectively.Maintain proper earthing and grounding systems.Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and site teams for smooth project execution.Maintain documentation of work completed, test reports, and inspection records.Follow safety procedures, permit‑to‑work systems, and company HSE policies at all times.RequirementsDiploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.Proven experience as a switchgear or panel technician (LV/MV).Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety practices.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Hands‑on experience with electrical tools and testing equipment.Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.#J-18808-Ljbffr
