KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESGeneric Accountability:Supporting the Business in developing and implementing strategies to grow the Islamic corporate and investment banking division including identifying new business opportunities and expanding the divisions market share.Overseeing the execution of financial transactions that comply with Islamic principles including sharia compliant financing investment and risk management techniques.Managing the financial performance of the division including targets monitoring progress and taking corrective action as needed.Leading and managing a team of professionals jointly with department Head including setting performance goals providing mentorship and support in evaluating employee performance.Job Specific Accountabilities:Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including clients regulators and other financial institutions.Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations including those related to Islamic Finance.Joint responsibility in achieving the business financial targets.JOB CONTEXTSpecific Accountability:The objective of MD Head of Islamic Coverage Wholesale banking is to lead and manage the Islamic Wholesale banking division of FAB Islamic.
