Job Description
Job Description As a Manager in the Tier N Center of Excellence (COE) at Ford, your role involves leading and managing the Tier N Supply Chain to detect and mitigate risks before they escalate into supply disruptions. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing & MP&L teams to operate as a cohesive COE team and leverage digital tools to enhance Ford's ability to address Tier N supply issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide your team in uncovering network relationships through various value stream activities for targeted commodities and suppliers.
- Strategize and expand the value stream to include other programs and commodities to enhance network visibility.
- Implement VSM data compliance and completeness as part of launch deliverables for forward model programs.
- Support the team in executing the 'Risk Mitigation Framework' by scanning, profiling, and developing supply protection plans to mitigate uncertainties.
- Monitor the team's ability to triage daily event signals and use insights to scan categories and commodities for emerging risks.
- Monitor and analyze profiled risks, findings, and targeted risk alerts for further action and closure.
- Utilize your supply chain/purchasing knowledge to proactively screen suppliers and commodities with macro and microeconomic perspectives.
- Ensure team adherence to escalation protocols for supplier non-compliance and measure performance through metrics.
- Represent the team in leadership forums for executive reporting and necessary support.
- Engage with the IT team to ensure accurate data ingestion into the repository and collaborate on supply chain digitization programs.
- Focus on optimal resource utilization, fair workload distribution, and team member development for operational excellence.
- Drive a culture of agility, innovation, and versatility within the team to maintain a motivated workforce.
Qualifications Required:
- B.E/ B. Tech degree
- 10+ years of experience in MP&L/Purchasing
- Experience in BOM/Constraints Management/Exposure to ERP Systems/Supply Chain Management
- Focused approach and collaboration skills to lead diverse workgroups
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with global cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical skills for data interpretation
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and leadership potential
- Flexibility to work in night shifts
