The Subcontract Engineer is responsible for timely placement of subcontracts and ensuring subcontracts are being executed in adherence to the signed subcontracts. Subcontract Engineer is responsible to closely coordinate with the subcontractors and within ALMEM.* Responsible for timely and cost effective placement of subcontracts for the projects and ensuring smooth execution as per signed subcontracts.* Responsible for expediting and follow up of subcontracted items outside ALMEM at subcontractor’s place to ensure its delivery within the contractual delivery dates.* Expediting and follow up of subcontracted items to be executed inside ALMEM will be taken care of by others (ALMEM Production or Warehouse as the case may be).* Subcontracting of fabricated structural steel, fabrication of spools, complete skids/modules, E&I subcontracts, insulation, packing and like.* Analyze Subcontracting requirements and select the most appropriate methods based on interpretation and assessment of established policies, procedures and experience of Air Liquide (i.e. IMS, GP, other protocols...etc)* Plan, organize and lead the Bidding process, ensure the integrity of the competitive process, facilitate bidder debriefings, and exercise appropriate judgment and tact while ensuring to protect confidential information.* Obtaining the weekly progress reports from the subcontractors and monitor the progress, track the agreed milestones, deviations to the plan and anticipate any constraints which may cause delays. Suggest mitigation plan to recover the delays, if any* Coordinating with stakeholders within ALMEM to break the bottlenecks* Expedite all inspection notifications as per approved ITP.* Managing the subcontractors claims and change management* Closing of subcontractor’s NCR in support of QC and project manager* Performance Evaluation of subcontractors’, providing feedback to them and implementation of agreed improvement plans* Code of Conduct and Anti-corruption policies* Most effective and competitive subcontract placements* Ensuring timely delivery of subcontracted items to avoid any penalties from the customers To minimize claims from the subcontractors## \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_## * Experience in subcontract management preferably in fabrication industry including progress monitoring, ensuring adherence to the signed subcontract, managing subcontractor claim, change management* Ability to understand the GA/fabrication drawings and basic manufacturing milestones* **Education:** Bachelor Degree in Engineering (preferable in Mechanical)* **Work Experience:** At least 10 years in procurement/supply chain with minimum 3 years in subcontract management* **Language:** English Professional proficiency (written and spoken)* Strong interpersonal skills, strong negotiator, good judgment skills and self-confidence.* Strong focus on Safety* Understanding of procure to pay process* Working knowledge in SAP MM module* Good skills in MS Office / Google Suite**Our Differences make our Performance**At Air Liquide, we are committed to build a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the diversity of our employees, our customers, patients, community stakeholders and cultures across the world.
