This role is responsible for leading and performing installation, fabrication, modification, maintenance, and repair sheet metal components across base facilities and infrastructure, while providing technical guidance, oversight, and coordination with other CE trades.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSLead and perform fabrication, installation, modification, and repair of sheet metal systems including ductwork, flashing, roofing components, vents, hoods, panels, and structural enclosuresServe as the technical lead for sheet metal and light structural work under the Structures sectionAssign tasks, provide technical guidance, and oversee work quality of assigned technicians or craftsmenInterpret and review blueprints, drawings, sketches, and technical specifications to ensure proper execution of workCoordinate with Civil Engineering trades (HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and structures) to support work orders, preventive maintenance, and project executionPerform inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with contract requirements, engineering standards, safety regulations, and applicable codesSupport HVAC ducting systems, exhaust systems, ventilation components, and building envelope repairsConduct corrosion control, sealing, insulation, and weatherproofing of sheet metal and structural componentsRespond to emergency maintenance calls and support contingency and mission‑critical operationsEnsure tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and serviceableEnforce safety, environmental, and quality control standards in accordance with BOS contract and base policiesDocument completed work and ensure maintenance records are updated in the CMMS or contract‑required systemsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation in an industrial, commercial, or facilities maintenance environmentDemonstrated experience leading or supervising sheet metal or structural maintenance activitiesStrong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specificationsWorking knowledge of HVAC duct systems, building structures, and facility maintenance practicesADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL‑UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICYAble to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for QatarMust be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperaturesMust be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditionsTRAVEL: 100%, in deployed location.SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have and maintain a Do D Secret Clearance.Global Dimensions does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, age, national origin, marital status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other reason prohibited by law in provision of employment opportunities and benefits.
