Job Description

Minimum10-15years' experience in engineering consultancy firms.Minimum relevant experience in steel structure design and analysis.Master's Degree/Chartered Engineering will be an added advantage.Business DevelopmentDevelop a network of contacts on each contract. Concentrate on developing a unified commitment of excellence in dealing with site and design team colleagues.Business DevelopmentDevelop a network of contacts on each contract. Concentrate on developing a unified commitment of excellence in dealing with site and design team colleagues.ProjectRoleWorks independently and as part of a team to complete specific supervision activities assigned.Review structural shop drawings,Calculations,andmethod statements.Review the comments provided by inspectors for inspections ofreinforcement placement, formwork, concrete pouring, and structural steelworksetc.Identify and resolve structural design issues and provide practical engineering solutions.Conduct site inspectionswhen neededto ensure construction complies with approved designs.ReviewRFIs andprovide responses.Ensure compliance with internationalcodes,Authoritystandardsand project specifications.Review ofAuthorityinspections prior to callingAuthority engineerfor inspectionsMonitorconstruction works to ensure design intent is achieved in the construction phase to theminimumrequirements required by approving authorities as the Local Consultant for the project.Ability to manage the design and construction stages of a project.Ability to supervise a small team of engineers and technicians.Role will normally be as Project Engineer on projects of various sizes. On major/more complex projects could take the role of a Design Engineer.Be responsible for delivering work to a fee agreed with a Project Manager.Prepare client/project proposals.Attend weekly site progress meetingCollaborates/communicates with other disciplinesregardingcoordination issues and day-to-day supervision activities.Supportsinspectionteam to resolve any site activity issues.Adopts creative and innovative solutions to site problems/clashesand developsappropriate supportivetechnical documentation/research reports.Coordinates with AOR design teamregardingspecialist’spackagesapprovals by authorities.Informing and discussing design change decisions with colleagues to ensure project requirements are met.Achieve 95% chargeable time.Should have sound knowledge of designsoftwaresuch asEtabs, Staad pro, Safe.Prokon,etc.CompanyRoleHave an understanding of ourbusiness plan, mission statement and key challenges.Contribute to the developmentof company procedures by taking an active role in task groups.Attend team meetings and playan active role in the development of procedures within your team.Review and comment on companyprocedures using the feedback system.Applying policies relating tohealth & safety, quality and trainingReview and comment ondeliverables produced by Engineers & Technicians at key stages through aproject.Demonstrates all roundtechnical competence.Have knowledge of conceptdesign, buildability, detailed design, construction techniques, procurementroutes, risk assessment and claim assessment.Have knowledge of analyticalconcepts.Should be responsible forQuality Management (QA) for their team.Have knowledge of our delivery in CAD standards and3D working.QHSE ResponsibilitiesUnderstand, implement andfollow 9E QHSE policies.Implement and coordinate QHSEprocedures in your workplace.Comply with local regulatoryauthority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.Report any QHSE incidentsimmediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.Abide Client/Contractor QHSErequirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.#J-18808-Ljbffr
