Structural Engineer

Stevin Rock, one of the Middle East’s leading quarrying and mining companies, is looking to appoint an experienced Structural / Mechanical Engineer to support our heavy industrial and mining projects across the UAE.This is a hands‑on engineering role suited to someone who thrives in complex environments and enjoys seeing designs move from concept through fabrication to site execution.The RoleAs a Structural / Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the engineering, design, and detailing of complex steel structures used in mining and heavy industrial applications. Working closely with engineering, fabrication, and site teams, you will ensure accurate, high‑quality, and buildable deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and analyse steel structures for mining and heavy industrial projectsProduce detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings for conveyors, transfer towers, chutes, crusher stations, pipe racks, platforms, handrails, and heavy‑duty structuresDevelop complete detailing packages including shop drawings, erection plans, connection details, and material take‑offsEnsure designs comply with AISC, ISO, and project‑specific mining standardsCoordinate with fabrication workshops to ensure designs align with manufacturing capabilitiesSupport site construction teams by resolving technical queries and clarifying erection requirementsManage drawing revisions, RFIs, and engineering documentationContinuously improve detailing workflows and quality control processesAbout YouBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline4–6 years’ experience in structural steel design and detailing within industrial or mining projectsStrong experience using STAAD Pro for analysis and designAdvanced skills in AutoCAD 2D/3D, Advance Steel, and ProSteelExperience with RAM Connection and conveyor design software (e.g. Sidewinder) is highly desirableStrong attention to detail with a practical, construction‑focused mindsetAble to work effectively across engineering, fabrication, and site teamsWhy Join Stevin Rock?At Stevin Rock, you’ll work onlarge-scale, technically challenging projects in a business known for engineering excellence, innovation, and long‑term stability.
