OverviewJob Title: ElectricianDepartment: OperationsReporting To: EngineerSite: ES3201Noor Phase 2Job Purpose: Employee preforms highly skilled maintenance installation repair and troubleshooting work involved with Electrical Systems. Work involves technical application of electrical principles.Key ResponsibilitiesRepair and maintenance work in a wide range of electrical equipment.Installs services and repairs lighting fixtures electrical panels outlets and wirings.Operates power hand tools and other specialized electrical equipment.Installs repairs services specialized electrical equipment and machinery.Constructs and maintains service equipment.Read electrical circuit diagrams.Requisitions materials and supplies from stockroom; calls vendors to discuss needs for parts and supplies and recommends purchases and suppliers.Transfers primary power from one power source to another.Sets poles strings overhead lines and does overhead line maintenance.May do other trades work incidental to electrical work.Maintains essential stock of spare parts.Responding promptly and efficiently to emergency calls.Assist with all emergency services e.g. Fire Alarms Lighting Batteries and Standby Power requirements inclusive of generators and Fire Fighting System.QHSETake reasonable care of your own health and safety and not to put other people fellow employees and members of the public at risk from what you do or dont do in the course of your work.Cooperate with any company efforts to improve health and safety at work.Comply with any reasonable instruction given to you in the interest of health and safety.Not to interfere with or misuse anything thats provided for your health safety or welfareReport any accidents injuries or illnesses you may suffer because of doing your work or any accidents injuries or illnesses you become aware off that involves a fellow employee or member of the public at your place of work.Skills RequiredMust have good communication skillsTechnical expertiseTeam playerKnowledge of tools equipment and materials common to electrical tradeKnowledge of applicable electrical codes standards and regulationsKnowledge of electrical application for high and low voltage electric systemSkill in installation repair and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and componentsSkill in both verbal and written communicationWorkload planningOwnership and dedicationInterpersonal SkillsCustomer relationsQualificationsAppropriate electrical technical qualificationsProven experience as an electricianSolid understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial buildingsAbility to handle electrical tools and equipmentDiploma from a trade school or successful completion of apprenticeshipOther RequirementsThorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned dutiesScope and Limits of AuthoritySCOPECan work independently on a wide range of electrical tasks including installation maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
