<div><p>Sr. Transportation Systems Safety Engineer</p><p>Antal is partnering with a world-leading global PMC organization involved in large-scale railway and infrastructure projects across the globe.</p><p>We are currently seeking a Systems Safety Engineer to lead and oversee Rail Transportation activities within major transit projects.</p><h3>Your responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Lead system-level safety reviews and validate safety studies—including hazard identification, hazard analysis, risk assessments, and ALARP demonstrations—in accordance with EN 50126, EN 50129, and project safety objectives</li><li>Review and approve safety-related technical submittals, RAMS documentation, safety cases, SIL assignments, safety assurance plans, and verification/validation deliverables from the D&B Contractor</li><li>Support oversight of safety-critical systems such as ATC/ATO, signalling, PSDs, rolling stock, power systems, ventilation and evacuation systems, and emergency communication systems</li><li>Participate in site inspections, NCR processes, compliance checks, safety audits, and incident investigations to ensure that all construction and installation activities meet safety requirements</li><li>Assess safety impacts of design changes, interface risks, construction sequencing, temporary works, and operational readiness activities</li><li>Monitor and evaluate system behaviour during testing&commissioning—including dynamic tests, emergency scenarios, system demonstrations, and trial running—to verify safety performance</li><li>Coordinate and collaborate with PMCM teams, D&B Contractor staff, the O&M Entity, and relevant stakeholders to resolve safety issues, track mitigation actions, and ensure alignment with project requirements</li><li>Prepare safety reports, risk logs, safety assessments, audit outputs, and compliance documentation for Employer review as part of PMCM reporting obligations</li></ul><h3>Your profile:</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Safety Engineering, or related discipline, with 15+ years of relevant safety engineering experience</li><li>In‑depth experience with rail or metro system safety, including RAMS engineering, hazard analysis (HAZID/HAZOP), and development of safety assurance documentation for safety‑critical systems</li><li>Strong knowledge of safety standards including EN 50126, EN 50129, EN 50716, NFPA 130, and SIL methodologies for transit systems</li><li>Demonstrated ability to review and validate safety cases, risk registers, hazard logs, safety studies, and V&V documentation for complex multi‑system metro environments</li><li>Experience supporting testing&commissioning of safety‑critical systems, including emergency, degraded mode, and failure scenario evaluations</li><li>Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to assess safety risks, evaluate system behaviour, identify mitigation needs, and validate corrective actions</li><li>Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement capabilities for working across PMCM teams, contractors, O&M entities, and Employer representative</li><li>High level of professional integrity, attention to detail, and adaptability within a fast‑paced, complex multi‑contract metro megaproject</li></ul><p>Upload your resume and our tool will compare it to the requirements for this job like recruiters do.</p></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
