Job Description As a Senior Data Analyst at Zinnia, you will be responsible for independently owning and driving analytics initiatives within the Human Resources Function. Your role will involve translating data into actionable insights that enhance engagement, decision-making, and key business KPIs for the HR leadership team and executives. You will collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to identify opportunities for HR analysis, automate report generation, and establish scalable analytics frameworks. This high-impact role requires both deep analytical skills and the ability to influence business strategy through data.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Independently own and drive key analytics initiatives in Human Resources, focusing on talent strategy, compensation, and retention.
- Utilize inferential modeling, causal analysis, and experimental design to generate actionable insights, going beyond basic dashboards.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to integrate systems that drive workflow automation within the HR platform.
- Develop frameworks to measure key HR metrics such as Retention, Employee Engagement, and Revenue Per Employee to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations using visual storytelling techniques in tools like Power BI.
- Mentor junior analysts in data analysis best practices to foster a culture of analytical rigor and excellence.
- Ensure HR data integrity, privacy, and compliance with global regulatory requirements.
**Qualifications Required:**
- 6+ years of experience in data analytics, with a focus on Human Resources, Business Strategy, or Process Optimization.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and working with relational cloud databases (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake) and unstructured datasets.
- Strong statistical knowledge, including regression analysis, time-series forecasting, and causal inference modeling.
- Experience in HR analytics such as workforce efficiency, process optimization, compensation modeling, and compliance analytics.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker, and presenting insights effectively to leadership.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and influence business decisions through data-driven recommendations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset to identify business opportunities using data.
In addition to the above qualifications, experience with ML/AI applications in HR, familiarity with event-tracking frameworks, strong data storytelling skills, prior experience in a high-growth environment, and knowledge of HRIS platforms, APIs, and data integrations are considered bonus points.
