Job Description As a Senior Global Data Governance Analyst at General Mills, you will play a crucial role in governing the global data hierarchies for the enterprise. Your responsibilities will include overseeing data structures and attributes, advising commercial partners on appropriate data models, and ensuring efficient data governance processes. Your role will involve partnering with global process owners, finance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive standardization efforts and ensure the integrity of financial and product data.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Responsible for ensuring the integrity of data hierarchies and associated attributes
- Act as the data governance lead for transformational projects and system upgrades
- Oversee system interfaces, identify issues, and support resolution
- Lead local stewards in implementing necessary changes and maintaining consistency
- Establish and support relevant controls to ensure data governance
- Lead global education and awareness initiatives to promote understanding of data governance processes
**Qualifications Required:**
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Deep expertise in GMI financial systems and processes
- Technical aptitude for process, data, and systems
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and business partners
- Process-oriented mindset with a focus on consistency and integrity
