The role involves managing design deliverables,performing hydraulic analysis, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, andensuring compliance with Abu Dhabi authority standards.This position requires strong technicalexpertise, leadership, and the ability to mentor junior engineers whiledelivering high-quality drainage solutions.Key Responsibilities1. Design &Technical DeliverablesLeadthe design of stormwater drainage networks, culverts, outfalls, channels,and retention/detention systems.Performhydraulic design and modeling using tools such as Infoworks ICM, StormCAD,Civil 3D, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or equivalent.Prepareconcept, preliminary, and detailed design drawings, calculations, anddesign reports.Developdrainage master plans for road and infrastructure projects.Assessexisting drainage infrastructure and propose upgrade/improvementstrategies.2. AuthorityCoordinationPreparesubmissions and obtain approvals from Abu Dhabi authorities (ADM, ADSSC,DMT, EAD, etc.).Ensureall designs comply with local drainage regulations, design manuals, andenvironmental requirements.3. Project Management& CoordinationCoordinatedrainage design with other engineering disciplines (roads, utilities,landscape, structural).Reviewcontractor/shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide technical supportduring construction.Preparescope of work, technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documentationfor drainage elements.Ensuredesign delivery meets deadlines, quality standards, and projectobjectives.4. Quality AssuranceConductthorough QA/QC reviews of drainage models, calculations, and drawings.Ensureadherence to project BIM/CAD standards where applicable.Implementsustainable and resilient design principles, such as flood protection andclimate adaptation measures.Providetechnical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and draftsmen.Supportthe Design Manager in workload planning and team coordination.Required Qualifications & SkillsStrongknowledge of hydraulic design principles, rainfall-runoff analysis, andflood risk assessment.Proficiencyin Civil 3D, StormCAD, SewerGEMS, Infoworks ICM, HEC-HMS/RAS, or similarsoftware.Excellentability to read, interpret, and prepare complex engineering drawings.Strongcommunication skills for interacting with clients, authorities, andinternal teams.Abilityto lead design tasks with minimal supervision and strong attention todetail.Preferred AttributesPriorexperience in UAE infrastructure and authority approval processes.Experiencewith major roads projects, tunnels, and large-scale infrastructures.Knowledgeof sustainability principles and low-impact drainage solutions (LID).PMPor Chartered Engineer status is an advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
