SR. BUYING ASSISTANT

Primary Purpose of the JobResponsible for the procurement and supply of materials and equipment from receipt of Purchase Requisition (PR) to the award of Purchase Order (PO) for assigned Category Purchasing Groups to support QatarEnergy Oil and Gas Operations, Shutdowns and Projects. Maintain high level of confidentiality, adherence to high ethical standards and ensuring compliance to QatarEnergy Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines, in the procurement process.Required Experience and SkillsMinimum of 6 years’ experience in purchasing equipment and materials, preferably in energy sector.Ability to read drawings and technical documents.Reasonable understanding of materials technical specifications and standards.Proficiency in verbal and written English is required.Proficient in MS Office suite, especially MS Word and MS Excel applications. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.Educational QualificationsUniversity degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business.Membership of international supply chain institutes is desirable.#J-18808-Ljbffr
