Job Description You will be joining the Enterprise AI team at Northern Trust as a Junior AI Engineer, where you will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence solutions on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. Your role will involve collaborating with senior engineers and data scientists to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models and solutions, as well as contributing to the testing, debugging, and validation of these solutions to ensure accuracy and performance. Additionally, you will be expected to stay updated with the latest AI/ML technologies and Azure AI services through continuous learning and training. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models and solutions on Microsoft Azure. - Collaborate with senior engineers and data scientists to collect, clean, and preprocess data for AI model training. - Develop robust and scalable AI applications using Python and relevant AI/ML frameworks. - Test, debug, and validate AI solutions to ensure accuracy and performance. - Maintain and monitor deployed AI solutions, identifying and resolving issues as they arise. - Learn and apply MLOps & LLMOps best practices for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of AI solutions. - Implement and optimize AI algorithms and solutions under supervision. - Provide support for existing AI solutions and contribute to their improvement. Qualifications Required: - Python development skills utilizing standard development IDEs. - Experience in DevOps including CI/CD techniques and tools such as Github repos. - Some background in data science and coursework is desired. - Understanding of Generative AI and LLM models and principles. - Familiarity with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). - Basic level understanding of cloud infrastructure. - Education required: Computer Science degree. - Preferred education: Data Science specific graduate work, Finance sector experience or coursework.
