Sr Analyst - Data Science

Job Description As a member of the AI and Data Science Operations team at BSI Insights, your role involves supporting better decision making at Novartis by utilizing data to generate actionable insights and enhance performance. You will collaborate with international business units to solve complex problems, develop analytical strategies, apply engineering and machine learning methods, and automate processes for increased efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze large datasets to uncover insights and provide support for strategic decision-making. - Deliver advanced analytical solutions for data science projects independently. - Collaborate with senior associates to improve operational efficiency in existing processes. - Generate data-driven ideas and actionable recommendations to enhance business excellence. - Apply structured project management techniques with clear documentation and communication. - Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality checklists to ensure consistent, high-quality outputs. - Manage internal customer expectations across multi-channel analytics and ad-hoc requests. - Support targeting, segmentation, predictive analytics, and resource optimization initiatives. - Explore and integrate generative AI and LLM technologies into analytics workflows. - Partner with cross-functional teams to align analytics with product development goals. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 3 years of experience in data science, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors. - Strong foundation in statistics, predictive analytics, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms. - Proficiency in Python; familiarity with R is a plus. - Proven ability to solve complex problems with creative, data-driven solutions. - Comfortable working across different time zones and collaborating with global teams. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement. - Bachelor's degree in a related field; a Master of Science or MBA is strongly preferred. - Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
