Sr. Accountant

<div><p>We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Senior Accountant with a strong background in the construction industry. You will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of accounting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing critical financial insights to support project management and company growth.</p><h3>Qualifications&Requirements</h3><ul><li><b>Experience:</b>Minimum of<b>10 years</b>of overall accounting experience, with at least 5 years specifically in a<b>construction or contracting company</b>in the UAE/GCC.</li><li><b>Education:</b>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. Professional certification (CPA, CMA, CA, or ACCA) is highly preferred.</li><li><b>Software:</b>Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems like SAP / RIB Build Smart) and advanced MS Excel skills.</li><li><b>Knowledge:</b>Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and corporate tax laws in the UAE.</li><li><b>Skills:</b>Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.</li></ul><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li><b>Financial Management:</b>Oversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.</li><li><b>Project Accounting:</b>Manage project-wise costing, monitor project budgets, and report on project profitability specifically for construction contracts.</li><li><b>Reporting:</b>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.</li><li><b>Compliance:</b>Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, VAT regulations.</li><li><b>Reconciliations:</b>Perform regular bank reconciliations and inter-company reconciliations.</li><li><b>Audit:</b>Liaise with external auditors and handle audit queries during interim and final audits.</li><li><b>Cash Flow:</b>Assist in managing cash flow and forecasting.</li><li><b>Team Collaboration:</b>Mentor junior accounting staff and coordinate with project managers regarding financial matters.</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
