Job Description

Job Description As a Quality Tester at WSP, you play a crucial role in ensuring that software applications meet defined quality standards before release. Your responsibilities include manual and/or automated testing, identifying defects, validating business requirements, and collaborating with developers, business analysts, and product owners to deliver high-quality solutions across web, mobile, and enterprise systems. **Key Responsibilities:** - Review business and functional requirements to ensure clarity and testability. - Design, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios. - Perform manual testing including functional, regression, system, integration, and UAT testing. - Validate fixes and enhancements before production releases. - Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing where applicable. **Defect Management:** - Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or ALM. - Clearly document defects with steps to reproduce and expected vs actual results. - Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. - Participate in defect triage and prioritization discussions. **Automation Testing (if applicable):** - Develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar. - Identify regression candidates for automation. - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where required. **Collaboration & Process:** - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners during SDLC. - Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production validation activities. - Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practices. - Contribute to continuous improvement of testing frameworks and methodologies. **Required Qualifications:** - Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC. - Experience with manual testing techniques and defect management. - Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.). - Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation. - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - ISTQB certification (Foundation or higher) is preferred.
