The role delivers safe, ethical, and patient‑centred care within a busy outpatient (OPD) clinic environment in Al Karama, Dubai.Role OverviewThis is an outpatient‑based (OPD) rheumatology role based at our HealthHub Clinic in Al Karama, Dubai.The position is well suited to a Specialist Rheumatologist with strong outpatient experience who is comfortable managing chronic disease pathways, long‑term follow‑up, and high patient volumes in a community clinic setting.Candidates already familiar with the Al Karama catchment area or patient demographic will be well positioned, though this is not a mandatory requirement.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive specialist rheumatology care in line with best‑practice clinical guidelines and Al‑Futtaim Health Medical Staff BylawsAssess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of rheumatological and musculoskeletal conditions, including inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, osteoporosis, and chronic pain conditionsConduct detailed outpatient consultations and manage long‑term treatment plansPrescribe and monitor pharmacological therapies, including DMARDs and biologics, in line with clinical protocolsPerform joint examinations and outpatient procedures where applicable (e.g. joint injections)Order and interpret relevant laboratory tests and imaging investigationsCounsel patients on diagnosis, treatment options, medication use, and lifestyle modificationMaintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical recordsCollaborate with physiotherapy, orthopaedics, primary care physicians, and other specialists to optimise patient outcomesParticipate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental development activitiesEngage in continuing medical education and remain current with advances in rheumatology practiceCandidate ProfileDHA‑licensed or DHA‑eligible Specialist RheumatologistStrong clinical competence across general rheumatology in an OPD settingComfortable managing chronic conditions and long‑term patient follow‑upExperience working in a busy outpatient or community clinic environmentExcellent communication skills with patients and multidisciplinary teamsPatient‑focused, ethical, and quality‑driven in clinical practiceTeam‑oriented, reliable, and adaptableFamiliarity with the Al Karama area or similar high‑volume catchments is an advantageArabic language skills are an advantageQualifications and ExperienceMBBS / MBChB or equivalent from an accredited institutionCompletion of a recognised specialty qualification approved by DHA, HAAD, or MOH (UAE)Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience at specialist levelValid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationFluency in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an advantagePublications in peer‑reviewed journals are advantageous but not mandatoryWhat We Offer5‑day working weekCompetitive salary with incentive structureFlexible engagement models (Full‑Time or CBD)Health insurance, life assurance, and generous leaveStrong referral base and multidisciplinary clinical supportClinic location: Al Karama, DubaiAbout Al-Futtaim HealthcareWe Hear Your Ambition.For over 90 years, the Al-Futtaim Group has been bringing the world’s leading brands of lifestyle watches, cars, home furnishings and fashion to the UAE.
