Job Description
This role will develop and implement quality improvement practices, coordinate the development of frameworks and processes for establishing quality standards and operational procedures, identify hazards, assist in the development of controls, and provide support, audits, drills, training and education to ensure a safe environment for staff, patients and visitors. The role also disseminates knowledge pertaining to quality assurance procedures, best practices, quality audits, and statistical analysis.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the quality improvement program of the facility.Assist the Manager/Director in developing a comprehensive quality improvement program.Coordinate, implement, and evaluate the facility's overall quality improvement program with other sections.Develop and implement facility-wide policies and procedures that guide service provision under the Manager/Director's guidance.Plan, prioritize, organize and implement assignments or projects.Liaise with accreditation bodies for implementation of programs.Assist in the development of the Safety Management Program.Develop safety standards and procedures consistent with best practice and applicable legislation.Create procedures on safe work practices organization-wide.Monitor departments to ensure compliance with safety standards.Perform assessments of safety hazards, risks and practices; recommend plans to minimize risk.Oversee processes for collecting and analyzing relevant data.Collect performance measurement data.Suggest improvements based on customer feedback, incident reports, complaints.Participate in customer feedback meetings and committees.Consult on satisfaction measurement initiatives, tools, methodology, cost estimation.Develop satisfaction measurement project timelines and coordinate internal support.Supervise qualitative research methodology (interviews, focus groups).Directly supervise outside research suppliers, including interviewing, selection, training.Evaluate customer research reports and provide interpretation of results.Monitor staff performance and quality of studies; ensure quality, cycle time and budget control.Identify quality improvement methodology and concepts in coordination with management.Coordinate the quality system across the facility.Facilitate and provide ongoing support to quality teams.Assist the Manager in arranging logistics for team meetings.Advise the Manager on team development needs and provide related activities.Help teams identify meaningful indicators and benchmarks for performance monitoring.Recommend focus on evidence-based problem solving and decision making.Report current status of quality initiatives to the Manager.Assist in developing reports and documentation.Ensure liaison between teams and facility staff.Educate and communicate.Analyze data to facilitate decision making for top management.Act as resource for staff providing training and development plans.Ensure effective coordination of department tasks.Implement training and educational programs, including safety topics such as fire drills.Coordinate the emergency preparedness program and ensure staff competence.Serve as a safety resource for staff.Collaborate with HazMat committee on safety information.Collaborate with other departments to reduce safety risks.Participate in safety improvement projects.Investigate accidents, incidents and injuries.Investigate incidents to determine root causes, trends, adequacy of precautions.Recommend revisions to training programs and equipment to reduce incidents.Perform other applicable tasks and duties as assigned.Participate in environment care audits and assist departments with corrective actions.Perform random audits to identify improvement opportunities.Coordinate emergency preparedness activities.Identify areas for emergency response plan improvement.Assist in maintenance and revision of emergency response plans.Assist all departments with corrective actions for emergencies/disasters.Coordinate scheduling of emergency drills.Carry out drills and identify corrective actions.Assist departments in developing department-specific action plans.Manage quality documentation; develop, control and deliver related documents.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in document development.Maintain a register of controlled documents.Participate in all team efforts as required.Collaborate with team members for smooth workflow.Qualifications4–6 years of relevant experience.Experience in a large healthcare facility (desired).#J-18808-Ljbffr
