Specialist - Physical Medicine and RehabilitationAbu Dhabi, United Arab EmiratesJob DescriptionSpecialist Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation doctor is responsible for delivering high quality, evidence-based patient care.Responsibilities3.1 The post holder examines, diagnoses, and treats patients as assigned and within the scope of license, training and credentialing.3.2 Perform Outpatient rehabilitation medicine clinics3.3 Participate and perform clinical and rehabilitation ward rounds3.4 Evaluate newly referred patients and assess admission3.5 Lead the rehabilitation medicine team in the provision of patient centered and goal orientated clinical care3.6 Work closely with other clinical team members to ensure the delivery of the best possible rehabilitation care3.7 Advise on rehabilitation potential and needs of patients3.8 Accurately documents all relevant clinical information in a clear and timely manner3.9 Reviews results of all investigation and modifies treatment in a timely manner3.10 Supervises and supports newly appointed physicians as determined by the physician in charge3.11 Communicates information to patients and patients families and friends (with consent of the patient or relatives) in a timely manner3.12 Maintains a good working relationship with members of staff and promotes collaboration and a team-based approach to patient care3.13 Complies with all facility policies regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, procedures, prescribing and discharge protocols.3.14 Adheres to established policies regarding patient confidentiality and informed consent3.15 Perform other clinical responsibilities as assigned3.16 Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards and procedures and cooperate with hospital management to comply those requirements3.17 Work accordance with the documented OSH procedures and instructions, specific responsibilities3.18 Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures3.19 Notifying OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues and assistance with the preparation of risk assessments, incident reports3.20 Comply with Waste management procedures and policies3.21 Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs3.22 Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systemsQualifications4.1 Education that meets HAAD PQR which leads for a specialist License in Physical and Rehabilitation.4.2 NLT 2 years’ experience as specialist, post qualification in internationally accredited institute.4.3 Valid HAAD License4.4 Valid BLS provider certificate4.5 Expertise in rehabilitation medicine procedures and interventions#J-18808-Ljbffr
