Job PurposeTo execute material planning activities by reviewing demand, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure the timely availability of materials for production. The role supports operational efficiency by maintaining accurate planning data, monitoring performance, and addressing risks related to material supply.Key Accountability AreasMaterial Planning ExecutionApply established material planning procedures in line with departmental requirements.Review material needs based on forecasts, production schedules, and inventory reports.Prepare and issue material requisitions to procurement within required timelines.Inventory MonitoringMonitor stock levels of raw materials, components, and consumables to avoid shortages or excess.Coordinate with warehouse teams to maintain accurate inventory data and resolve variances.Suggest adjustments to stock policies based on usage trends and supplier lead times.Stakeholder CoordinationLiaise with procurement to follow up on supplier deliveries.Work with production planning teams to match material availability to manufacturing schedules.Coordinate with sales, logistics, and quality teams to ensure smooth material flow.Performance Tracking and ReportingMonitor KPIs related to material availability, stock accuracy, and fulfillment rates.Prepare routine status reports on material planning for review by the Section Manager or Manager.Highlight issues affecting planning accuracy and propose corrective measures.Risk Identification and MitigationDetect potential risks such as delays, shortages, or inaccuracies in forecasts.Recommend mitigation actions, including safety stock adjustments or alternative sourcing options.Role AccountabilityHR Proficiency:Ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job.To have a vision and a plan for the career path and how to achieve it.Delivery:Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.Problem-Solving:Solve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.Quality:Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.Business Process Improvements:Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automations opportunities as much as possible.Compliance:Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.Health, Safety, and Environment:Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.Academic QualificationBachelor Degree in Business Administration or OtherWork Experience2 to 4 YearsTechnical / Functional CompetenciesMaterials Flow AnalysisMaterials Handling#J-18808-Ljbffr
