Specialist - Data Governance

<div><p><b>Job Title</b>: Specialist - Data Governance</p><p><b>Job Scope</b>: The Specialist - Data Governance is accountable for supporting projects and clients in ensuring that data is being used and managed in a way that is compliant, secure and beneficial to the organization. S/He develops and implements policies and procedures for managing data and ensures that these policies are followed by all stakeholders within the organization.</p><h3>Main Duties And Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Define and implement data governance frameworks and processes for data management such as data quality, data security and data lineage.</li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design data governance processes accordingly.</li><li>Define the main subject areas and data domains in the enterprise.</li><li>Introduce stakeholder driven processes with roles and responsibilities.</li><li>Identify and document data assets and their associated metadata, data lineage and data quality.</li><li>Develop, implement and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data is accurate, accessible and compliant with regulations.</li><li>Identify and document data risks, sensitivity levels and classifications.</li><li>Educate and train stakeholders on data governance to ensure compliance with related policies and procedures.</li><li>Create and maintain data governance documentation including data dictionaries, data models and data lineage diagrams.</li><li>Collaborate with other teams and departments such as compliance, IT and legal to ensure abidance to relevant regulations and laws.</li><li>Monitor industry developments and regulations to ensure up to date and effective data governance processes.</li></ul><h3>Position Requirements</h3><p><b>Education</b>: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any other related field.</p><p><b>Experience</b>: At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.</p></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
