Job Description You will be responsible for the IT Lifecycle Management process for Cloud and Infrastructure Services, supporting strategic planning, deployment, management, maintenance, and retirement of hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle. Your role will involve overseeing and coordinating all activities related to the lifecycle management of IT assets within the IES CIS team.
Your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Asset tracking and inventory management: Maintain accurate inventory records of all IT assets, including location, ownership, and status.
- Asset maintenance and support: Coordinate with CIS teams for timely planning of maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- License management: Track software licenses, ensure compliance with licensing agreements, and manage license renewals and audits.
- Cost optimization: Analyze the total cost of ownership for IT assets and identify opportunities to reduce costs through efficient lifecycle management practices.
- Documentation and reporting: Maintain comprehensive data and be the Single Point of Contact for IES CIS teams for all in-scope IT assets and processes, as well as generate regular reports for relevant stakeholders.
- Execute assigned tasks within given timeframes, prioritize work effectively, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Required skills for this role include:
- Prior experience in IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management expertise, project management skills, and familiarity with IT governance frameworks such as ITIL.
- Ability to write technical/user documentation.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced work setting with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with MS Excel and Excel macro programming is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage stakeholder engagements.
- Proficiency in using project management and productivity tools like MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
