Job Description As a Software Engineer 3 at Costco Wholesale, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining critical services for Costco's multi-billion dollar eCommerce business. Your focus will be on back-end microservices development, offering you the opportunity to make a significant impact on millions of members globally within a rapidly expanding eCommerce landscape. **Roles & Responsibilities:** - Support Senior Engineers in designing the overall architecture of the Order Management Platform, emphasizing availability, reusability, interoperability, and security. - Develop, optimize, and automate activities to support the implementation of the Order Management platform. - Implement engineering best practices to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. - Utilize test-driven development practices to detect defects early in the development process. - Collaborate with Senior Engineers to establish coding standards, architectural patterns, and development processes. - Conduct peer code reviews and work with the product team on feature grooming. - Participate in scrum ceremonies and manage implementation tasks effectively. - Collaborate with the team to define specifications and documentation across all phases of the product development cycle. - Ensure regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location. **Experience Required:** **Minimum Qualifications:** - 8 12 years of experience - Proficiency in C#, TypeScript, REST, JSON, XML, YAML, Swagger, Microservices, and Rest API. - Hands-on experience in designing and developing containerized services based on the .Net Core framework. - Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub and Jenkins, and API development focused on security and performance. - Solid knowledge of database application development in relational and no-SQL platforms. - Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure with a sense of urgency. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience in a retail eCommerce environment. - Familiarity with Data modeling, Object-Oriented design, Redis, GraphQL, and microservices-based architecture patterns. - Knowledge of regulations like SOX, PII, PCI, CCPA, HIPPA for transactions, security, and confidentiality. - Experience with Google Cloud Platform resources and technologies like GKE, Pub/Sub, Spanner, BigQuery, MemoryStore, and Redis. **Must Have Skills:** - C# OR .Net Core - CI/CD OR Jenkins OR Github Actions - Cloud: AWS OR GCP OR Azure - NUnit or Unit Testing - Dockers OR Kubernetes - SQL Server OR Spanner OR PostgreSQL **Nice to Have Skills:** - Experience working in a retail eCommerce environment. - Terraform OR Ansible - TypeScript OR Angular OR React As a Software Engineer 3 at Costco Wholesale, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining critical services for Costco's multi-billion dollar eCommerce business.
