Job Description
Job Description As a Lead/Assistant Manager, Compliance at Altisource, you will be responsible for strengthening the compliance framework, driving process excellence, and ensuring end-to-end adherence to regulatory and operational standards in our operations in Bengaluru, India. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Documenting all process, workflow, and system gaps and implementing necessary fixes
- Working with compliance/risk to address "open issues" and formalize follow-up and sign-off processes
- Implementing and managing in-house REO settlement operation initiatives
- Implementing and maintaining strategies to manage a high volume of production without errors
- Managing productivity requirements and implementing strategies to improve production
- Focusing on the needs and expectations of internal and external customers by managing customer expectations and improving performance through process and product enhancements
- Using customer feedback and quality performance results to drive changes in personnel, processes, or technology for excellence in settlement function
- Managing quality performance and turn-around times for each settlement vendor and providing continual feedback to vendors for strong strategic relationships
- Assisting in issue clarification or resolution between vendors and operating personnel and acting as a subject matter expert and communication bridge as needed
- Monitoring daily production reports and proactively managing files approaching SLA
- Initiating and executing training plans for continual improvement of all settlement activities based on quality control process results
- Assisting in the development and implementation of internal settlement activities and creating comprehensive training material for 100% compliance with all state regulations for REO settlement activities
Qualifications required for this position include:
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in the REO settlement or Title insurance industry with a demonstrated pattern of advancement and breadth of experience
- Detailed knowledge of REO and settlement function with up-to-date information on state-level requirements for closing transactions in the REO space
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and closely with cross-functional, multicultural teams
