In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing traffic flow, ensuring road safety, and overseeing operations and maintenance activities for our road network.Conduct traffic flow analyses and develop strategies to improve traffic circulation and reduce congestionPerform road safety assessments and implement measures to enhance safety for all road usersDesign and optimize traffic signal timing and coordination to maximize efficiencyUtilize traffic simulation software to model and analyze various traffic scenariosDevelop and maintain Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to improve road network performanceOversee road maintenance activities and coordinate with relevant departments for timely repairs and upgradesPrepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholdersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of traffic engineering principles in transportation projectsStay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in traffic engineering and road operationsEnsure compliance with local and international traffic engineering standards and regulationsWhat do we need from youBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum 3-5 years of experience in traffic engineering or a related field, with a focus on roads operations and maintenance (O&M)Proficiency in traffic engineering principles and practicesStrong knowledge of traffic simulation software (e.g., VISSIM, Synchro) and CAD software (e.g., Auto CAD)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detailStrong project management abilities and experienceProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical analysis toolsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferredTraffic Engineering certification (e.g., PTOE) is a plusExperience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and transportation planning is highly desirableFamiliarity with local traffic regulations and standards in Qatar is advantageous
