Site Engineer - Fire&Life Safety /Fire Protection (Limited tenure)

<div><h3>Overview – Role</h3><p>Jensen Hughes is seeking a<b>Site based Fire Protection Engineer (6 months , may be extendible)</b>, specialized in the<b>on-site inspection of Mechanical /Electrical</b>systems for a complex Fire&Life Safety Project in the Riyadh region of Saudi Arabia.</p><p>This role has a<b>limited tenure of 6 months</b>requiring proficiency in site management covering all aspects of the Project’s Fire&Life safety requirements including but not limited to review of Contractors documentation, passive/active and ventilation fire protection systems -installation, commissioning, inspections&testing. In this role you will work in line with the client expectations and compliance requirements within the agreed project scope while coordinating with the Project Manager and the team members. Expertise related to FLS review of Contractors documentation, systems, calculations and reports would be the key requirements for the role.</p><p>This role offers an exciting range of opportunities to develop your career within a supportive and diverse team who always strive to do the right thing for our people, clients and communities.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Review Contractor’s Fire&Life Safety (FLS) packages based on (NFPA codes, SBC codes and GDCD requirements)</li><li>Conduct a comprehensive technical review of Contractor’s Fire&Life Safety (FLS) documentation including but not limited to FLS/fire protection shop drawings, material submittals, method statements for testing, inspections, commissioning and handover of all passive and active fire protection systems</li><li>Conduct Building Code Analysis and Gap Analysis as required by Contractor’s submissions</li><li>Assess construction site potential fire safety hazards, occupational health and safety hazards for buildings and facilities under Construction Supervision</li><li>Conduct frequent site inspections for all passive and active fire systems with data collection and reporting</li><li>Conduct testing, commissioning and hand-over site inspections for all passive and active fire protection systems with data collection and reporting</li><li>Conduct site survey for occupational health&safety hazards</li><li>Review and approve Contractor’s emergency response procedures</li><li>Review and approve Contractor’s Fire Risk Assessments and review emergency evacuation plans</li></ul><h3>Requirements And Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering preferred</li><li>4+ years of Middle East project experience covering design review, construction supervision, fire protection installations inspections, surveys, audits, testing/commissioning and approvals</li><li>Proven experience in FLS calculations and reporting</li><li>Preferably certified on all/either NFPA 13, 20, 72, 2001 codes by approved NFPA instructors</li><li>Proven site experience related to Fire Protection, Suppression, Fire Alarm systems, Ventilation</li><li>Proven experience in liaising with local Authority, Contractors, and Clients to obtain all required certificates for occupancy</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to undertake work independently</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills</li></ul><h3>Why you should join Jensen Hughes</h3><ul><li>You will work with market-leading clients and have the backing of a leading international firm</li><li>Youll have support from the leadership team and given flexibility to work where and when you want</li><li>Career advancement with an established framework is in place clearly defining expectations, outlining opportunities for promotion</li></ul><p><strong>Jensen Hughes is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
