Be part of our mission – apply today!Qualifications and PreferencesBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred Training in leadership management and risk project execution highly desirable Proven expertise in developing and implementing integrated QMS strategiesJob DescriptionAbout the Job: The SHEQ Manager at LAHAB Defense Systems will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing all aspects of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) management for the organization. This role is critical for ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations, enhancing operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest quality and safety standards in the manufacturing of medium and large caliber munitions and weapon systems.Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance and Management:Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.Ensure compliance with quality plans, manufacturing standards, and customer contractual requirements.Issue corrective action directives for major non-conformities and oversee resolution processes.Monitor and report on the performance of the quality system to top management for continuous improvement.Manage supplier qualification programs and ensure incoming materials and finished products meet specifications.Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Management:Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the organization’s SHE programs and risk management processes.Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements.Conduct hazard and incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive measures.Develop emergency response plans and ensure their effectiveness through regular testing and training.Leadership and Strategy:Lead and execute both long-term and short-term quality and safety strategies to meet the organization’s operational and financial goals.Build cross-functional synergies to improve internal and external quality and safety practices.Provide training and development programs for SHEQ staff to maintain technical competencies.Represent the organization during audits, inspections, and federal/military evaluations.Operations and Process Improvement:Oversee and validate new equipment, processes, and facility changes impacting quality and safety.Develop programs for monitoring and regulating manufacturing processes using statistical process controls and audits.Implement lean principles and optimize processes to enhance efficiency and ROI.Ensure robust documentation and traceability for all products and processes.Regulatory and Compliance Oversight:Act as the Management Representative for OSHAD and ensure compliance with the UAE’s occupational health and safety framework.Maintain all technical documentation and records related to product, process, and quality systems.Lead self-audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.Stakeholder Management:Liaise with federal/military authorities during inspections and ensure compliance credibility.Engage with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure quality and safety alignment.Provide regular reports and updates on SHEQ performance to senior management.Effective implementation of QMS and SHE programs.Improved compliance with ISO and regulatory standards.Enhanced operational efficiency and product quality.Development of a skilled and technically competent SHEQ team.RequirementsEducational Qualifications:Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.Additional Training: Leadership Management, Organizational Leadership, Project Execution, and Risk Assessment training is highly desirable.Professional Experience:Experience: Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Quality Management and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) roles, including leadership positions.Key Areas of Exper
