Job Description SummaryThe Field Engineer will be responsible for onsite installation of Variable Speed Drive systems and Rotatin Machines equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance repair and calibration after installation. You will provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation operation calibration repair and maintenance at customers sites.Job DescriptionWhat Youll DoRespond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipmentDevelop and further expand technical knowledge and expertise currently recognized industry standards for engineering abilityMaintain knowledge of applicable product line warranties and accomplish effective warranty administrationPlan prepare and/or instruct both internal and external training programs as required to impart and perpetuate field engineering and/or product knowledge in area of specializationPerform administrative functions; such as writing technical reports ordering materials securing quotations preparing job status reports reports to customers time sheet and expense sheets on a complete timely and thorough basisMaintain knowledge of the report system to the extent required for timely and accurate input of field information necessaryProvide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sitesMaintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standardsHave the knowledge to troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for wide range of equipment vintagePrepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outagesWhat youll bringBachelors degree in electrical engineering electronics or mechatronicsSignificant field experience in Electrical Motors Variable speed drive Inverters Electrical Generator and Turbine StarterHow to standoutAbility and willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time as requiredAbility and willingness to possess and maintain a valid drivers licenseAbility and willingness to work remotely; as requiredAdditional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: NoRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Criminal Justice,Account Payable,Economics,Front End,Facilities Management,Domestic Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
