Provide Structural, Mechanical, and/or Piping Drafting & Engineering Support to the Engineering Department. Provide technical assistance to clients and suppliers, and perform/oversee fabrication, installations, survey and repairs at subcontractor and client facilities.Job ResponsibilitiesWork with customers and suppliers to resolve structural and piping component/system issuesAchieve and maintain a sound understanding of structural industry standards for structure manufacturingProvide a list of resources required to perform any site job based on the experienceAccountable for red-marking drawings with modifications/changes and updating this to engineering upon return from each visitEstablish and maintain a good working relationship with on-site customer representativeAccountable for developing the BOM/list for any replacement materials upon return from site visitProvide technical support to the DLS and Sales TeamsMentor/train all less experienced Service EngineersProvide accurate layout/assembly drawings from design calculations and/or concept drawingsProvide accurate detailed drawings from layout/assembly drawingsCheck layouts and/or detailed drawings to ensure drawing accuracyProduce Sales drawings when requiredAssist in all project Engineering activitiesReview customer specifications needed to ensure structural product integritySupport onsite service jobs through conducting API inspections, rig structural surveys, rig repair & installation supervision and inspections at suppliers facilityStay current on information contained in Product and Safety BulletinsSupport the company’s yearly strategic objectivesInteract with customers and other HMH personnel in a professional mannerComplete all work in compliance with company and customer policies and procedures for HSSEBe guided by HMH Visions and Values in all activitiesRequired QualificationsDiploma or higher in an Engineering discipline (Civil/Structural or Mechanical)Five (5)+ years of experience in structural and/or piping fabrication and repairsFive (5)+ years’ experience working on oil drilling rigs (onshore and offshore)American Welding Society – Certified Welding Inspector is a plusASNT Level II or III or CSWIP 3.1 or higher is a plusProficiency in AutoCAD; 3-D software is a plusAbility to read piping one-line and isometric drawingsAbility to work for long periods in extreme environmental conditionsAbility to share knowledge with customersAbility to perform API RP 4G CAT III & IV inspectionsAbility to supervise with knowledge of Upgrades and Repair work on Mast, Substructure and offshore DerricksProvides authoritative advice to diagnose, investigate and provide solutions to moderately complex problemsExcellent analytical skillsCompetent with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.Preferably proficient in written and reading EnglishExcellent verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to support co-workers with technical inquiries & trainingAbility to take initiative and be accountable for own decisions and actionsAbility to focus on and complete multiple tasksAbility to work under pressure and on own initiativeAbility to pre-empt situations and respond positivelyOrganized, with high integrity and ethical valuesAbility to negotiate and communicate at all levels to coordinate tasks between Groups/Departments#J-18808-Ljbffr
