Service Engineer Elevators

The Service Engineer Elevators will be responsible for technical support, field service, maintenance, repairs, and inspection of marine elevator systems.Do technical/periodic inspections of elevatorsWork with the technical team and field service engineers.Do planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance for elevatorsTroubleshoot and identify complex elevator malfunctionsDo electrical and mechanical repairs and adjustmentsDo major mechanical repairs, replacements, and adjustmentsCarry out technical site surveys, modernisation and retrofitsWork effectively as a team member and with customers to provide quality serviceKeep detailed records of your service work, parts used, and customer interactionsStay safe at all timesOther tasks related to the jobAlternative job titles:Elevator MechanicElevator Maintenance Technician/EngineerRequirementsWhat you need to know and be good at:Extensive experience with traction elevators; multi-brand experience is preferredExperience with escalators, hydraulic elevators, and rack-and-pinion elevators is a plus.Good understanding of elevator codes, policies, and proceduresComplete tasks independently, efficiently, and accuratelyAble to explain and demonstrate proper maintenance/inspection proceduresKnowledge of multi-brand inverter drives and controllersProvide leadership to instruct, train, and review the work of junior technicians.Able to deal courteously with customers, co-workers, and contractorsKnowledge of industry standards, health and safety rules for marine processesStrong analytical skills and attention to detailEagerness to learn and adaptWillingness to travel within the region and internationallyJob requirements:Diploma or degree in engineering, preferably electrical, electronics or instrumentationProfessional qualification (Bachelor’s Degree, diploma or certificate in elevator engineering) or vocational qualificationMinimum 10 years of elevator industry experience (new installation, repairs, and service experience is mandatory)Prior experience with Hyundai, Kone, and Ushio is a plusGood English communication skills (verbal and written) and a second languageThis position requires travelling within and outside the country.Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skillsWillingness to learn and developConfident, engaging, and able to build relationships and take calculated risksExperience with common productivity tools (like Google Workspace)Medically fit for offshore assignments and working at heightsValid basic driving licenseKey strengths:Ability to work independently and collaboratively without close supervisionAble to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities and deadlinesIndependent and positive person with good attention to detailThinking in solutions, not in problemsTeam playerDependable with a strong work ethicTakes the initiative and is self-motivatedOrganisedInterpersonal communication and customer service skillsAble to write reports and correspondenceSalary & benefits:As per industry standards (travel costs reimbursed)Job type:Full-timeJob location:Fujairah, UAELocal Requirements:Valid UAE driving license (LMV)Application ProcessNote The application process may slightly vary for each individual candidate.What do you like most about working at Mr. Marine?#J-18808-Ljbffr
