SENIOR URBAN DESIGNERCompany: KN InternationalLocation: Abu Dhabi, UAEJob Type: Full TimeJob SummaryKN International is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Urban Designer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working on a variety of urban development projects that shape and enhance the urban landscape. The ideal candidate will lead master planning and urban design efforts while ensuring compliance with local and international standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage complex urban planning and design projects from concept to detailed master plans.Conduct research and analysis on economic, social, and physical factors affecting developments.Develop high-quality urban design solutions, reports and presentations.Ensure project compliance with local planning laws, zoning regulations and international best practices.Collaborate with stakeholders, government agencies and consultants to align project objectives with urban development goals.Support business development activities including bid preparation and client presentations.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers and planning professionals.Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture or a related field.Minimum 7 years of experience in urban planning and design projects.Proven expertise in master planning, urban design concepts and illustrative layouts.Strong understanding of urban design principles, zoning laws and planning regulations.Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and 3D modeling tools.Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and lead design teams effectively.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design or Architecture.Professional certifications such as AICP, RTPI or RIBA are highly desirable.Prior experience working on urban design projects in the Middle East is a plus.Why Join UsAt KN International we value innovation, creativity and professional growth.
