Senior Underwriter - UAE National (Emiratisation)

<div><p>We are currently partnering with a leading organization within the insurance sector to hire a<b>Senior Underwriter (UAEN)</b>based in Abu Dhabi. This is an exciting opportunity for an Emirati graduate to join a structured, high-performing environment and build a long-term career in underwriting.</p><p>The role will focus on assessing and evaluating underwriting risks, reviewing policy applications, and supporting sound underwriting decisions in line with internal guidelines, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements. Depending on the candidate’s background, the role may cover Medical or General Lines underwriting.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Review and assess insurance applications, policy amendments, renewals, and underwriting requests</li><li>Evaluate risks in line with underwriting guidelines, internal policies, and regulatory requirements</li><li>Ensure accurate policy issuance, pricing considerations, and risk classification</li><li>Liaise with internal stakeholders including sales, operations, and claims teams to support underwriting decisions</li><li>Handle complex underwriting cases and provide technical input where required</li><li>Ensure underwriting decisions align with company risk appetite and service standards</li><li>Contribute to process improvements and maintain efficient turnaround times</li><li>Support documentation, reporting, and adherence to underwriting governance standards</li></ul><h3>Key Requirements</h3><ul><li>Emirati with FamiIy Book (Emiratisation role – mandatory)</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in insurance, Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare, or a related field (mandatory)</li><li>Prior experience in Medical and/or General Lines underwriting is preferred</li><li>Strong understanding of underwriting principles, policy evaluation, and risk assessment</li><li>Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail</li><li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, structured, and regulated environment</li></ul></div>#J-18808-Ljbffr
