Senior Underwriter - UAE National (Emiratisation)

We are currently partnering with a leading organization within the insurance sector to hire a Senior Underwriter (UAEN) based in Abu Dhabi. This is an exciting opportunity for an Emirati graduate to join a structured, high-performing environment and build a long-term career in underwriting.The role will focus on assessing and evaluating underwriting risks, reviewing policy applications, and supporting sound underwriting decisions in line with internal guidelines, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements. Depending on the candidate’s background, the role may cover Medical or General Lines underwriting.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and assess insurance applications, policy amendments, renewals, and underwriting requestsEvaluate risks in line with underwriting guidelines, internal policies, and regulatory requirementsEnsure accurate policy issuance, pricing considerations, and risk classificationLiaise with internal stakeholders including sales, operations, and claims teams to support underwriting decisionsHandle complex underwriting cases and provide technical input where requiredEnsure underwriting decisions align with company risk appetite and service standardsContribute to process improvements and maintain efficient turnaround timesSupport documentation, reporting, and adherence to underwriting governance standardsKey RequirementsEmirati with FamiIy Book (Emiratisation role – mandatory)Bachelor’s degree in insurance, Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare, or a related field (mandatory)Prior experience in Medical and/or General Lines underwriting is preferredStrong understanding of underwriting principles, policy evaluation, and risk assessmentGood analytical skills with strong attention to detailStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, structured, and regulated environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
