The goal is to unlock the full potential in each colleague empowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add more value to our customers and AIG.How you will create an impactTo underwrite market sell and promote all Marine products within GCC & NAThis role will be responsible for Profit and Sales for the Marine divisionprimarily within UAEResponsible for the profitable underwriting of new business production and renewal retention of Marine products for assigned territory developed through Brokers Direct Clients and Business Development Managers.What youll need to succeedQualifications & Education:Bachelors Degree. CII qualifications would be a plusExperience:Prior experience in Marine Underwriting or Broking.Training:No mandatory external trainingKnowledge:Has in-depth knowledgeof the Marine Insurance industry Logistics and Global TradeSkilled in MS Word Excel Power Point and Outlook. Power BI is a plus.Job AccountabilitiesRetention and New Business DevelopmentMaintain and develop strong broker/client relationshipsRegular in person meetings with brokersConduct training sessions on AIG appetite and capabilitiesEnsure account retention rates are maintained as per company/department norms.Underwrite new and renewal business to promote premium growth withinUW authority.Achieve overall production goal in collaboration with the Underwriting ManagerProvide sound underwriting decisions exhibit flexibility and price risks to achieve established profit goals for the company.Provide feedback on renewal loss ratios that exceed permissible limits.Identify poor performing accounts and take remedial actions.Others:1. Ensure adherence to all corporate Marine Underwriting Guidelines2. Ensure that all marine pricing tools are being used correctly and that all marinequotes binders and policies are issued in accordance with regulatory and corporate policies.3. Adhere to underwriting authority & underwriting guidelines referenced in the AIG Marine Intranet site. Ensuring that all underwriting decisions are documented in the underwriting file.4. Handling of all process-oriented tasks ensuring a smooth process in place5.
