About the job Senior Technician NDT (Engine MRO)We are seeking an experienced Senior Technician specialising in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to carry out inspections on aero engine parts in accordance with approved methods, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. The role involves supporting test technique selection, ensuring compliance, and guiding Level 2 personnel where needed.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform NDT Inspections (60%)Conduct NDT inspections on engine components using approved techniquesApply FPI, MPI, ET, UT or related methods as requiredCollaborate with supervisors to ensure compliance with regulatory standardsExecute inspection tasks accurately to ensure error-free resultsTechnique Selection and Compliance (30%)Select appropriate NDT techniques based on part type and inspection criteriaInterpret standards and specifications for practical, real-world applicationPrepare or modify test instructions for specific conditionsTrain and guide Level 2 personnel in correct NDT practicesQuality Assurance and Compliance (10%)Ensure inspection publications and manuals are up to dateSupport calibration of precision tools and equipmentMaintain good housekeeping within the NDT shopAssociate, vocational, or technical qualification in Aviation, Aeronautical Engineering, MRO, or related fieldPCN Level II certification according to EN4179/NAS 410 (or equivalent)3 to 5 years of NDT experience in an aviation MRO environmentTechnical ProficiencyAdvanced hands-on skills in FPI, MPI, UT, ET and related NDT techniquesStrong understanding of inspection principles, equipment use, and test applicationSystematic and methodological approach to inspection tasksCommunication SkillsAbility to clearly communicate inspection findings and updatesAble to explain complex techniques in a simple, instructional mannerSupports knowledge transfer and team learningCompliance and StandardizationStrong understanding of NDT standards and specificationsAbility to apply standards practically to various part configurationsExperience preparing or adapting written test instructionsTraining and GuidingAbility to train and guide Level 2 personnel in correct NDT practicesEncourages knowledge sharing and facilitates skill developmentTax-free salary packageRelocation support providedAdditional benefits shared with shortlisted candidates#J-18808-Ljbffr
